Barney has been leading people in a variety of businesses since 1981. Barney’s career started in currency exchange working in Vienna, Austria and Washington DC. Barney has run financial services businesses from Canada through Argentina and lived and worked in the UK and Europe.
Barney’s expertise has been in leading startup businesses, turnarounds and those businesses needing to accelerate to the next level. In all cases that has involved coaching and developing individuals and teams, to set goals and accomplish more than what they thought possible. When you realize that “business is people doing business with people”, you recognize the joy and richness of relationships as you get results and create something together. While Barney has a keen understanding of the P&L, he has expertise leading people.
Prior to founding Source Key Solutions, Barney held leadership roles in Currency Exchange, International Payments, Business Process Outsourcing, Call Centers, Accounts Receivable Management, Healthcare, Background Checks and the burgeoning Cannabis industry.
Being a listener and a forever learner, Barney enjoys learning about different businesses; what’s being created by those businesses and the affect leaders’ decisions and interactions have on their people and their community. Barney moved to Nashville in 2016 to lead an ailing healthcare collection agency which has been sold to a strategic partner. Having fallen in love with Nashville, Barney and his wife Teresa established their home in Franklin, TN. Barney and Teresa have three adult children who have both the East Coast and West Coast covered while he and Teresa have planted in middle Tennessee.
